Tick-Tock

Time. We are not the author of it, nor can we control the speed at which it passes. Every day we are granted the same allotment: 24 hours. 1,440 Minutes. 86,400 seconds. I know sometimes we wish that we could rewind time to correct mistakes or make different decisions. Pause time, or even fast forward. Although, we cannot control the passing of time, we can control our GROWTH. In doing so, it is important to let God direct your steps. Especially, when it is hard. Let me say that again. ESPECIALLY, WHEN IT IS HARD. God’s clock is never too early nor is too late. It always strikes on time. So, keep that in mind as you sit around awaiting your breakthrough.

But, that brings me to another point. Trusting God’s plan is not an excuse for laziness or inaction. It means consulting him and trusting him to guide you to make the best use of your time. Too many of us have a million dollar dream with a minimum wage work ethic. You want maximum results with minimum effort. This can be applied to many different situations. Whether it is getting a new job, getting adjusted to a new place, letting go of prior hurts, or starting the next phase of your life. If you truly are tired of being in despair, feeling inadequate, or simply want to accomplish more you must be prepared to do more. You can’t get something you’ve never had, if you continue to do what you’ve always done. Push through. Stop waiting on things to happen. Make them happen. Sometimes you may even have to step outside of your comfort zone.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Time continues to pass. What are you doing? Are you just sitting down watching it pass? Or are you up moving along with it. Are you using your time in a productive, constructive manner? Or are you doing things that will be destructive down the line? Giving people or things attention or thought power that do not deserve it? Don’t waste time investing in people who cause you to depreciate in value in the process. Time is something you can never get back. Use it wisely. Try to ensure that whatever you are giving your time to is indeed worthy of your time. Make the most of it. Don’t waste it on fruitless things that steal your peace. The way you spend your time should be in such a way that it will be fruitful. Fruit in this sense is something that will help sustain you, prepare you for growth, and be beneficial.

Keep Climbing,

Marriah
